I still prefer Rayman 2, but, that was the one I played most when I was a kid. I don't like Origins very much.

Rayman 1 (& Addon-Packs): Nice platformer, but was a little too hard for me at the time I played it first.

Rayman 2: Epic, just epic. For the time it was released it featured very many innovations and though I never got past one of the later levels without a cheatcode (blame me, lack of skill :( ) and never found out what happens when you collect all Lums and cages, it's one heaven of a childhood memory.

Rayman M: Superfun SP and MP. Loved the fighting mode and got really good at it. This trained me as a kid - maybe 12 or what I was back then - for my later favourite games like GTA Vice City :D Very much fun, too. But missed humorous elements like maybe a story around it...

Rayman 3: Loved the story, the cut scenes, the acting. This was a great game. Had some very impressive moments in graphics. But it could not reach out for Rayman 2. First of all it only had one challenging part (the Knaarens) and the point system annoyed me. Would have liked it much more if I were going for Lums again.

The gameboy versions: Played 3 or 4 games on Gameboy. They were good platformers for the console. But nothing more.

Raving Rabbids: Why?! This should've been a Wii-only game. Dumbass story, had nothing to do with the former franchise (except the charakter Rayman, who did NOTHING resembling his personality) and quickly boring minigame collection.

Origin: Haven't played it for too long. Reminded me of Rayman 1 with tuned graphics. Seemed okay, but not as great as the milestones R2, RM and R3.

hell yeah Bumperguard! Rayman M was amazing, the gameboy ones where great time-passers, and Rayman 3 wasn't as great as 2, the point system was ok I think but way too easy.

I've owned Rayman 2 on like 6 different consoles

First I had it on PC, then N64, then PlayStation, then PlayStation 2, then PlayStation 3, and now back to PC because I preordered Rayman Origins :D

Got Rayman M for PC and PS2, Rayman 3 for PC, PS2 and that HD version for 360, Rayman 2 for PC, Rayman Revolution for PS2 and Rayman Gold for PC and in case you haven't figured it out yet...Rayman Origins as well. XD

Nearly as good as me... Nearly ;)

Well I would be happy with a PC version of Rayman Revolution. Not like I did not like the the original Rayman 2 but I had so much fun and maybe a bit more fun with Revolution. I Rayman origins is also nice but it's kinda sad they broke the background story what they built from Rayman 2 with it and there is no story for origins eventually. But still nice and I just enjoy to redo 96% of the levels. But I grew up with this franchise. And maybe not I am the only one who would like a PC version of Rayman Legends if it is not WII U exclusive anymore.

Don't blame Origins for messing up the backstory.....R3 did it first. XD
Also there IS an actual backstory for Origins as well, but the lack of narration makes it difficult to understand anything. =)

Rayman Legends was delayed. It is ready for the WiiU, but ubisoft wants it to be 100% cross-platform at launch

I think that it is funny how many times this game has been released or remade. Off the top of my head, I can think of:
PS1
N64
Dreamcast
PC
PS2
DS
3DS
PC (The Steam Version (It's different to the original PC version.))
Nacho Ninja Jul 22, 2013 @ 6:20am
PS1
PS2
PS3
XBOX 360
Dreamcast
N64
DS/3DS
PC ROM
Steam
And how is the steam version different? I see no changes.

The version on steam has updated gamepad drivers (TBH, try to get an original copy of R2 to run with a random gamepad or joystick without joy2key - this game was widely know for beeing a ♥♥♥♥ in that regard) of some sort, as you can directly play it with a 360 pad without any setup whatsoever. Also the display settings tool has been boosted (you have a lot more options then the original tool).

Oh man, i kind of do miss the times when a voodoo chip was so badass and on the other hand i am so glad that this times have long passed =P
