Need help with mods.

I have no idea how to install mods for darwinia.
I bought it off of steam and i have windows 8. I have been trying to install the insurrection mod. Please help. I've searched almost everywhere and i can't find anything!

I don't have a Windows system to test this, but maybe this will help.

First on Gnu/Linux the darwinian configuration looks like this:
~/.darwinia/full/
~/.darwinia/full/preferences.txt
~/.darwinia/full/mods/
~/.darwinia/full/mods/<all the mods in a directory each>
~/.darwinia/full/users/<all the profiles in a directory each containing one "game.txt">
While the "~/.darwinia/" part could differ, the contents should look just the same on non 'Unix-like' systems.

Create a new profile with a random and distinguishable name and search for this on your whole hard drive. (I guess it's somewhere in %appdata%.)
If You have found the proper dir, create the 'mods' dir, if necessary and put the 'Insurrection' dir from the zipfile in there. (If not, I cannot help You further...)
(Edit: I found the location of it in another discussion. (On Windows 7, that is...) "C:\Users\%username%\Saved Games" )
Read the _ReadMeFirst.txt or _README.pdf, do as You are told and it should work.

Also there seems to be a bug in Insurrection. When both the mods TheDeserts and Insurrection are installed, there's a conflict, when rebooting darwinia. I suggest, to not have TheDeserts installed; it's not very good either...
