Yeah, it's a really cool little RTS. Like Black & White crossed with Tron.

This is a good game, has elements of RPG, RTS but with a realtime, almost dungeon crawling element thrown in, Kooky graphics, but I like the cleaner look with the pixel effect turned off. I find the graphics actually work in the context of a AI virtual world thats being attacked by a virus. Hats off to the devs for making something different, and still excellent.

It's a lovely little RTS with charming retro inspired graphics.

The original version required mouse gestures instead of icons to activate weapons and create units but thankfully the devs listened and put an icon based system as the default option.

Once you understand the game it's fairly easy to reach the end. I felt that as soon as I fully understood the game mechanics, the game ended.

The real fun in Darwinia comes from community maps and challenges. Once you've mastered the normal levels, try some of the mods.

It's an old game though, http://www.thenextgame.co.uk/ should still work for some of the mods.

If you want to mix it up, try enabling the gesture based UI. An intriguing idea that adds an extra level of difficulty.

Tedious game. Not for me.

It's a very nice game. It's also very addictive, I couldn't stop until I finished it. The only problem is that it's a bit short. I would have liked to see twice or three times as many levels.

I find this game great. It builds a universe, a story, that you can really get immersed in. Being inside a computer program, its as if it could really be real, and all the 'background' that is revealed within the game, how the programs lives and world works, makes the story all the more compelling.

The gameplay itself is different and interesting. It is not a 'traditional' anything really. It is in real time, it is a strategy/tactics game, and there is a little bit of progression thrown in. But the way the game works is not like any normal RTS at all. It can be a little slow at times, but it is very addictive and will keep you hooked dispite the slow pace.

There is more to say, but really, you should just try it for yourself. It even goes on sale fairly regularly, every holiday sale I believe.

(sorry it is so late a reply)

It's poorly designed and unintuitive.
