Forgotten modern classic?
I remember when this game first came out, it seemed like everyone was going on about it on forums and message boards. I hardly hear anyone talk about it now though. Seems to have fallen into obscurity.

Sad.

It came out over a decade ago. So it goes.

If it makes you feel any better, I downloaded it 1/1/09 (bought Darwinia, Multiwinia, and Portal as part of a three-for-$7 deal), haven't yet even gotten around to downloading Multiwinia or Portal yet, let alone playing them, and haven't finished a first play-through of Darwinia yet. I don't have a lot of time for gaming, and it always seems as though I suffer a catastrophic hard drive failure shortly after trying to get back into Darwinia. Not that Darwinia causes HD failure, mind you - - it's just that my mean-time-between-Darwinia-sessions is just a tad longer than my hard drives' mean-time-between-failures. Anyway, I'm just now taking another run at Darwinia from scratch, as of about three days ago. I hope I can get a backup done tomorrow, in case the HD dies within the next 48 hours as now seems likely...

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, "nothing is dead until I decide it is!" (On the other hand, what do we do, someday, if/when Steam goes out of business? Will they release some kind of hack so the games will play without having to log into a Steam account? I might only just be getting around to trying Portal, by then.)
