Game doesn't launch / black screen

I'll start off by saying I reinstalled it to the HD my OS is on, still nothing is fixed.

Windows 7 pro 64bit, Radeon HD 9850 with latest beta drivers, 12 gigs ddr3 ram, 8 core amd processor, 100s of gigs of free space on my hard drive.

I got the game to launch once on low settings 1024x768 in a window, then in-game bumped everything up to max at 1920x1080 fullscreen. All of the shadeers were glitching out, everything looked full-bright. Trying to launch it again causes a blackscreen that never loads.

Launching it in anything other than 1024x768 in a windowed mode shows the Farcry splash, but it never loads / crashes instantly.

Tried running as administrator, and with windows XP compatbility, still nothing.

Try to start Steam as Admin too!
and than launch FarCry
