You and your Friend give Evolve a try: http://www.evolvehq.com So much easier.
One person creates a party and the other joins. This creates a virtual lan. Leave the Party open or minimize it as closing it will disable the virtural lan.
You can also set the Party on Private which is invite only for your Friends. ;)
Then one person hosts a Lan game and the other join.
Yes this game supports LAN co-op.
Uninstall it and give Evolve a try as it's one of the easiest to use or look at Tunngle or GameRanger as Hamachi is the worst.
Hamachi has been be known to cause issues with other online games while not being used because the virtual lan adapter is always enabled. Unlike Evolve which disables the virtural lan adapter once you close the Party window.
So yeah ditch Hamachi as there is better options to use and enjoy the game's co-op. ;)
