what about finding a game in DM TDM or CTF on small maps?

Not sure about them anymore. I know ut2k4 had dm and tdm servers, but onslaught was where it was at. Also you could probably get away playing the mp demo since I remember omnipotents use to run a few default maps on the onslaught servers unless it's changed over the years. Also if you want to do assault, not many use to play it after a while. Omni had one, but that was custom and not sure if it's still active, but would be totally worth it if it is.

all dead as far as i can tell. i only play on omni onslaught server. they dont have an assualt anymore.

theres SoL Freon server thats moderately active.

might want to check out Urban Terror if you are looking for CTF DM gameplay. Its free.

it was originally based on quake III arena...so its a mix of that and i guess CS would be closest comparison

its actually a pretty unique game that i was playing back in '99 when it was first released - its just been updated to a new hd version and they are in the process of doing another update, specifically to the shooting/hit-scan system

idk right now i'm feeling like using guns like the flack gun or link gun, i have a lot of ak m4 type of games.

Seems pretty much dead to me. Playing with bots is moderately fun, but I can't find any vanilla servers with players on them. What a shame, I feel like I wasted 15 bucks.

i dont play ut3 at all. I was disappointed that they made a console game out of it. I personally dont like the gameplay in ut3 although the graphics are very nice. ut2k4 is just a much better game to play.
