Is AA3 still buggy and not optimized?
I played this game on intital release, it was a very bad experiece, buggy, not optimized and lack of features. It has been several years now. Has anything changed? Is there more weapons than just the M16 now?

Is it still buggy and not properly optimized?

I miss playing AA2. Is this game good enough for me to download yet?

there is around 200 players on any given evening. there are 4 friendly and also 4 enemy weapons to acquire smoke, fog flash and frag grenades ... yeah, it's worth your time :)

not AA2. big difference in the last update since it was first released. I mean, at least it's not as buggy.

fun game.

I just downloaded it, played a few games. And honestly, this game is terrible.

Comparing it to AA2, this game is really terrible.

I tried this game out back in 2009 when it first came out. And now its 2013. It hasn't recieved any major updates.

The game is still buggy, and poorly optimized.

The sprinting is faster, which allows people to run up on enemies in cover faster and spray them with lead, feeling a lot like a arcade shooter. This isn't Americas Army at all.

Seeing as how the next AA is coming out this year. If anyone is wondering if this game has improved since inital release. It hasn't, save your time and look elsewhere.

This game is still in beta status, if this were a real videogame company, the developers would of been fired ages ago for releasing such a poor quality game and never fixing it after 4 years developement and release time.

No Bipods, no score screen to even check how many kills you have, honor system is useless, ingame server menu doesn't work. Everything that made AA2 great is gone. Low player count as well.

BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD

-11/5

Laggy ? Well you need to buy a better computer or check the ping before you enter the game -_-

I think the question is mainly about the first released AA3 where it was most of the time so laggy and F/U to play..

And no, thats not because of a sucky PC because yours probably worse as mine anyway :p

However, for some reason i dont seem to authenticate to AA3 so i was wondering if it was still running.. Got the answer now tough

You think your funny huh, my comp is top of the line. I have a GTX titan, best I7 processor, 16gigs of ddr3 ram and best motherboard available right now.

When I press the power button on my PC, it loads up in less than 5 seconds.

AA3 is just ♥♥♥, even at 100 fps on a 120hz 3D LED.

Thats how I know this game sucks, when I have top of the line hardware and it still is not optimized properly. The pacing of the game is nothing like AA2.

The developers of AA3 killed their fan base. Only new people who never played AA2 stick around for AA3.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it's running on my high end pc pretty smooth and good. It's a different game then AA2 but pretty good. I'm waiting for AA4!

Glad you enjoy it, but I am like the majority of old AA2 players. We didn't like AA3 and didn't stick around for it.

The player counts for the current AA3 show it.

And yes the game does run smooth, but the hit detection is terrible, and thats not client side, thats server related.

I can tell the servers are not optimized properly because some players are bounding in and out of position on the map. It means their computer is displaying their location on the map different than where the server is registering their position, relative to showing it on my PC.

This usually occurs when playing with players from far distants relative to the server. It should not occur when playing with players within the same region.

This game is very bad. I cannot stress how poor design it has been.

is this game still worth it

No it is not. I keep going back hoping it has improved but it is terrable. Stick to ARMA (although that is pretty buggy too) or better yet, Red Orchestra 2. Rising Storm comes out soon and thats great (beta access for pre-order. :) {LINK REMOVED - Please don't spam, and be wary of scams.}http://store.steampowered.com/app/234510/?snr=1_7_15__13

Yes AA3 is not worth it, and Arma is buggy as hell, but has more features and larger scale than AA3. I am waiting for Arma 3 to be fully done and hopefully will be everything we want in a mil-sim without bugs. But I currently play BF2: PR as my Mil-Sim. It's the only game right now that features good enough gameplay without bugs, however the engine is outdated.
