Half-Life: Blue Shift

This game needs to be fixed badly
Don't believe me? Have fun trying to get past the part where you take the scientists down the elevator. The buggy elevator will cause them to gib in a matter of seconds, and you'll have to restart from the last save point because the game assumes that YOU killed them. In other words, it's nearly impossible to get past the prologue without extreme luck.
Seriously, Valve needs to fix this. I know that these games are some of their oldest, but that doesn't mean they should abandon them without squishing a major bug like this.

I managed to get past it as well after a few tries. I think the trick is to not move very much, which is a little counter-intuitive if you're trying to see everything that's going on.

same happened to me, you just need to not move, you can look around but just dont move from where your standing

Lol, that bug existed when the game came out.

I didn't have that, but there are othr reasons to have the game fixed badly. Like the HUD and lack of custom content.

download blue shift unlocked
I heard it's to do with the version of windows you have but I'm no expert on these things.

I didn't have any problem with it the first few times through the game. Bought a new computer and all of a sudden I'm having this problem. I read you could download a different version of the game, sort of like a mod (it required that you had already purchased Blue Shift, so it's not like you're pirating), but this didn't work for me.

Tried to use cheats to jump ahead a chapter, but couldn't figure out how to get to the point I needed to get to. Haven't gone back to play since.

I kept getting the scientist gibs too, but after a few tries I managed to get into the actual game. It just depends, I guess. Not sure why it suddenly worked, but hey,I'll take it.
