Too laggy to play - getting like 10 fps
I played with all the settings - software, OpenGL, windowed mode, high/low sound settings, nothing is fixing the lag. It's so inconsistent I can't even say when it happens. I got up to the part with the first marines and got the assault rifle, everything was fine so I shut down and went out for a while. I came back and loaded up and 10 fps is being pretty generous - I can barely make it down the rest of the hall. It did this at the start right after the elevator crashed, but I thought that just had to do with the flickering lights (happened a lot at the crash site with the red light), but now it's just doing it randomly whenever. I'm on XP and obviously all the other requirements are met. I don't know what else to do.

Its kind of wierd that you are getting lag on a game made in 2000. Even my phone can run the game. Anyway whats your Graphics card and what kind of CPU do you have?

well I get lag with return to wolfenstein as well and I destroy the specs for that game, phenom 9600 2.31 ghz, 3gbs dr2, hd radeon 6670 1 gb ddr3, return to wolfensteain came out in 2001. so it could be you card just cant run that old game cause it's too old for it or somthing isn't compatiable.
