Need Mono Strategy~
Mono is quite fun!
However, reaching high scores needs some effort.
I know that usually it's not the best idea to collect all the blocks in the track due to the complex scoring system.
For instance, one five-blocks is better than two three-blocks cluster.
Sometimes ignore a few blocks can reach you a 21 match.
Furthermore, the angle you collect a block sometimes can make bigger cluster.
That's all I know so far but still the scores aren't that pretty comparing with others.
Any advanced strategy to share?
Thanks. :)

Since mono is so 1 dimensional, slight variances in ash files can be the difference between a coloured block and a grey block. other than stealthless ninja mono without ironmode using greys to hold chain, it's very straight forward. Puzzle is superior in every way regardless.

That's true. I agree that mono is quite simpler than the puzzle characters. However, mono definitely has its own way for people to enjoy it as well. (I love them both.)

The interesting thing is that the maximal score for each color block is 66 in casual but 200 in pro and elite. So the decision of whether to dodge the block or not isn't the same in different levels.

As the first poster said, the only real strategy you get with mono is at the elite level with Ninja mono. Even then the best you can get with that is still just a fraction of a decent score from any other character.

The big problem with trying to be good with mono is that mono is essentially just Audiosurf with half of the gameplay removed. As such, the skill ceiling on it is far too low for anything other than plain fun, unless you want to compete with other mono players. The only case I can think of where it might have an edge is in extremely short songs, where the higher score per match of other characters doesn't last long enough to outdo mono's stealth bonus.
