People using Hacked Songs in AudioSurf

Well! I play a track in AudioSurf, and seconds later I get a Dethroned message. Then, when I attempt to even beat the score, I get shown the results screen, but ... their score is obnoxiously huge! Not to mention that their shape is different than mine and the length is different. Those guys are using mods to change the traffic and shape of the road!

No need to use mods, you can just retag a completely different song; report the score and carry on.

You know what's annoying? When you finish a track and look at the top score that's like 1.7 Billion points. That's not skill when the high score below that is 300k XD

It's not hacking. It's interfering with metadata.

People use an audio-modifying devices (like Audacity) to amplify it or make it longer.

People also change metadata. (They change the title and artist. Lets say the song they were playing was "Gangnam Style" by PSY. They changed the song using metadata so they can turn it into "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescense <---- dunno how to spell it

I know he talks about me. I just find the better versions on internet or by asking friends their MP3 files. It's called strategy in traffic congestion and shape. On Living In A Bubble i have a unfair advantage because I have a much stronger version while its the same song. On Too Much Of Heaven my shape is similiar to my 1 year old score. A song shape difference doesnt make you cheat if the song is exactly the same. To make my score difference soo huge to him has a factor of experience (skill), luck and how much blocks you pick up. I am probably one of the best pusher pro players out of here and deal with some strong eraser pro / vegas players. This thread starter is an obviously inexperienced player.

Yes, If you see me on the scoreboards, I'm definately not the easiest to beat.

Searching for good traffic versions obviously gives you an huge advantage to get good scores. There is only skill / luck involved. No cheat at all. It gives you idea how important it is to get a good version on Audiosurf. You just can have a much better version than someone else.
