People using Hacked Songs in AudioSurf
Well! I play a track in AudioSurf, and seconds later I get a Dethroned message. Then, when I attempt to even beat the score, I get shown the results screen, but ... their score is obnoxiously huge! Not to mention that their shape is different than mine and the length is different. Those guys are using mods to change the traffic and shape of the road!

No need to use mods, you can just retag a completely different song; report the score and carry on.

I know he talks about me. I just find the better versions on internet or by asking friends their MP3 files. It's called strategy in traffic congestion and shape. On Living In A Bubble i have a unfair advantage because I have a much stronger version while its the same song. On Too Much Of Heaven my shape is similiar to my 1 year old score. A song shape difference doesnt make you cheat if the song is exactly the same. To make my score difference soo huge to him has a factor of experience (skill), luck and how much blocks you pick up. I am probably one of the best pusher pro players out of here and deal with some strong eraser pro / vegas players. This thread starter is an obviously inexperienced player.

Some songs where my shape is different that the rest (or most people):
http://audio-surf.com/song.php#65104 (Here is the unfair one, but its exactly same song.)
http://audio-surf.com/song.php#46802 (This one is similiar to the others.)
http://audio-surf.com/song.php#124972 (Some are similiar, and some are really different.)
http://audio-surf.com/song.php#12483011 (Version is different to most, but l.matt22 has my version.)
http://audio-surf.com/song.php#12745016 (Another obvious difference, but shape is similiar. But still same song.)

Yes, If you see me on the scoreboards, I'm definately not the easiest to beat.

Searching for good traffic versions obviously gives you an huge advantage to get good scores. There is only skill / luck involved. No cheat at all. It gives you idea how important it is to get a good version on Audiosurf. You just can have a much better version than someone else.

I think you're the one that's butthurt.
You don't need hax to dethrone someone from the top of the scoreboard.

You know what's annoying? When you finish a track and look at the top score that's like 1.7 Billion points. That's not skill when the high score below that is 300k XD

It's not hacking. It's interfering with metadata.

People use an audio-modifying devices (like Audacity) to amplify it or make it longer.

People also change metadata. (They change the title and artist. Lets say the song they were playing was "Gangnam Style" by PSY. They changed the song using metadata so they can turn it into "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescense <---- dunno how to spell it

Get the concept?

Who actually gives a damn about points.. it's not like you get money for doing it... Get over it, the gaming world is full of stuff like this. Suck it up or quit.

Time to bump this, to make another point out here. Some people just don't know how to use a puzzle character properly. Mostly the ones that can't hit 1300+ skill rating, not that Skill rating means a lot, since the block distribution is important aswell, one song can be easier to make big skill ratings than others, such as Current Value - Pace for an strong example.

http://audio-surf.com/song.php?t=popular#8457660 I don't see anyone here getting mad over a few scores. Though several players went mad because of the massive skill rating that can be obtained here. Obviously a player like ERtrysDynat or Aeminence can pretty much beat everyone out here, even the best players in this game. No need to get mad when they dethrone you, all you will do is learn by it. Dethrones can only help you later.

But then when you call on different versions of songs, good examples are the Hybrid songs ''Snyper'' and ''If I Survive''. These have a longer version than the original, Snyper's original is 6 minutes and the live version is 8 minutes (The 8 minute version is clearly faster and more fun to). But both are on the same scoreboard. With If I Survive there is no live version, but there is 8 minute and 9 minute version.

Extended data of the 3rd part I was talking about:
''Snyper'': http://audio-surf.com/song.php#112745
''If I Survive'' http://audio-surf.com/song.php#64230

Sure, you must take and listen to someone with over 2 years of puzzle character experience, which I am mostly a Pusher player, aswell I play Eraser and Dual Vision. 2 years back I was also bad like most players, but I never complained about someone cheating, but I guess it has something to do with mentality. Of course the average mono
player or bad puzzle character user complains about the good puzzle character users.

No need to be this immature. And that even while you are like 10+ years older than me. I'm sure you don't even know I have a terrible computer so I have to play in minimal graphics and it will still lags at times. And when I record it will be a game breaking lag which always seem to ruin my run. So you have no right to complain over someone with a terrible PC. I'm also no Toxic Terror who doesn't rely on slow motion hacks to get good scores. It's all natural skill. With luck as well, sometimes you have consistent luck, and sometimes you have inconsistent luck.

It took me very long to write this piece of text, aswell being very late to reply. So I'm sorry if this bump is big. Also no need to remove this later because I'm obviously saying something based on facts. And yes, this has to be a constructive post.

Have a nice day.

I'm not insulting you, just saving people some time. Thanks for being a ♥♥♥♥, though.

I didn't even know that, but then if i did, i'm sorry then, i wouldn't know if it was in defense to Honeycomb or not.

--- this part is not an quote to the person ---

Aswell, i go take steps to Dylan (the creator of the game) to check out who is right. If the case is i'm right, then i have nothing to complain anymore.
