laggy recording
i use fraps to record when i drive, but if i want to make a good video i have way too much lag and fail horrible. any way to make it lag abit less?

can someone please give a answer to his question, because i have the same problem and yes my pc is WAAAAYYYY stronger then it needs to be to run Audiosurf

im rendering/uploading some songs i audiosurfed & i had no lag at all recording, i recorded at 45fps

core i7 920 @ 4.01ghz
6gb ram
raid 0 2x seagate 1tb 7200.12rpm
sapphire hd 7950 3gb boost
windows 7 x64 ultimate sp1

In my experience everything is fine until I try to record with graphics on premium. Apparently it uses full one thread/core of CPU and video encoding suffers horribly. I record with MSI afterburner, and can get somewhat good footage with premium by setting:

MJPG compression at 60fps 1920x1080
encoding quality 60% and
lowering encoding encoding threads used from 8 to 3.

Core i7 2630QM @ 2,0GHz
8Gb DDR3 1333MHz
GTX 560M 2GB
