No Controller Support?
So I'm using a Playstation-style USB controller and it doesn't do anything with the game at all (only three games I've tried it with and it's at 2/3). Is it that only certain controllers are compatible with the game?

It fully supports the xbox controller. I know nothing else. Ther might be very few games supporting a Playstation-style USB controller, but when you read something about "controller support on the steam store pages, they are talking about gamepads with.. you know, the ones with green A, red B buttons, and so on.

Ahh, okay. I know Tomb Raider Anniversary supports it somewhat and Spectraball fully supports it because it takes only a few buttons. I *think* it might be supported by Beat Hazard, but I haven't tried it.

Thanks for the info! Now to find some software...

I've tried to use it with Logitech F710, which support XInput and DirectInput both.
This game don't works with this gamepad. I have started it from "Big Screen" option in Steam
ive been using my ps3 controller with motion joy and ive been playing it fine . . . this game can be played just as easily with mouse and keyboard . . . but i havent had any problems

Seriously? This has to be the easiest game to use the mouse with.

Lol... I thought the same when I saw this thread.
Primary reason I want to use my controller is that I'm using a butterfly chair so trying to play games with the mouse/keyboard is really bad for my elbows, hyper extension aside - far easier to sit back and use the controller when I can. I always use the mouse, but my elbows are either directly on the desk at a bad angle or it's got my arm hyper extended to where it's got stress on the nerves and tendons. Work is all sitting at a computer all day long, so getting some relief where I can is seriously appreciated. S'why I'm looking into the controller instead.

I highly recommend you to get an xbox controller, seems its the most supported controller around steam here.
if you want your PS3 controller to work with games on PC download motionjoy- it emulates the xbox360 controller for PS3 controllers so you can use the PS3 controller on any pc game that supports XBOX360 pads

There is a mod that can be installed to allow controller support - called A Handful of Audiosurf Addons. - it will also allow you to do other things like change the background images and more.
