securom activation failed

Everytime that i put my code i got from steam on securom it says activation failed.
Any advice how i can fix it?

You'll have to use a crack I'm afraid, Securom activation doesn't seem to work these days. There's a guide with links in the Guides section. I've used the files myself and all works fine.

Just contact Codemasters with your proof of purchase. They'll issue you another key for Securom.

Write a letter to CodeMaster support and attach your proof of purchase, like a screenshot of receipt, then you'll be given a new one.

Just done those steps few days ago and succeeded :D

same here grabbed the game friday, got a brand new key yesterday. this really is a shame that this game has been delisted and buried like that by codemaster

I sent them the proof of a code few days ago and they wrote this:

"Thank you for your e-mail.

It appears that your serial key is not in our database. We request you to
please contact the software Publisher or the Online Distributor for further
support options related to issues specific to the software.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Well looks like you have to try contacting the store you got the key from. And good luck if that's steam support.

And FYI I just activated the game and the Securom worked on the first try. So it should be either faulty key or temporary server issues.

Just contact codemasters. SecuROM support can't do anything. Same with steam support.
Write to codemasters and tell them where you have bought the game and send them proof of purchase. Then they will give you a new key ;)

I gave up on it, ♥♥♥♥ this i payed only 3$ for it. There is no way i will chase all those support websites for a new ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ key.

Tell them the key given by steam is not found on database. Also, attach screenshot of proof of purchase, screenshot of CD Key given by steam, and screenshot of failed activation. I got my SecuROM key within one hour.

I fail to see how that would tamper with online activation and mine worked quite fine with steam and all games on second HDD.

i'm just suggesting it because that was my problem... it was not on my c drive :/
