Might I ask, why is GRID not considered a sim?

Why do people say it is actually an arcade racer that bears resemblances to sim racers?

It seems realistic to me (arcade racing always feels fake), so might I ask why is it considered to be an arcade racer?

It is a total arcade racer for sure. 3 lap races, loose steering, no real effects of damage unless beat up real bad. It's a fun game but it is nothing like a sime. Try Race07 or Raceroom for sim racing. If you want real sim raceing then there is always iRacing.

You cant modify your car. no camber airos gear ratios ect. = arcade
Driving is a little of sim with With assists off you cant just hammer the gas and break full or your going to have a bad day but its arcadish when it comes to taking turns just feals unrealistic or arcadish.
Some what realistic damage as you bust up a tire your going to start pulling to that side. Engine damage can make you lose power. = sim
Its a good balance for people that dont want a balls to the wal sim racer.

kind of between a sim and arcade. as he said, you cant do a car setup. it's still a very fun game, though
