Is there a newer version out there than 2011?
I have 2010 and 2011 but is there a newer one than that?

No there is not, productions who produce fishing and hunting simulators usually die out afterwards, because the majority is not interested in learning things, they are usually more interested in wasting their life in empty and stupid ego-shoter games like counter strike. But there are some other Hunting games which are a bit more new.

^ You sir, are a giant hypocrite. I see in your posting history that you like Star Trek Online. Hey guess what, it's a waste of time. It's a fictional world with fictional science! 95% of games are a waste of time. You sir, are wasting your time. You better work in a library or become a writer so you can benefit humanity with your knowledge and wisdom.

And who still says ego-shooter? Are you a german?

Also most of these hunting games are very average, and teach you nothing at all. Trying to learn how to track animals or learning about guns by playing video games is dumb as hell.

I am a hypocrite because I have an opinion ?

Sorry, but I am playing games since about 13 years, and the simulator games ( especially in the hunting & fishing section ) are usually the games who die first. Because a lack of playersbase.

Yes I like Star Trek online, so ? It's a game which I play because I like Star Trek. Oh really, it's a world with fictional science ? I didn't know this, I thought Klingons and Borgs are real! But thank's for the hint.

You are right and wrong when it comes to your claim about " waste of time ". A game is only a waste of time when it does not make you happy or you do not like playing it, but if you find fun in a game, it is not a waste of time playing it right? If it would be, everything what makes fun would be a huge waste of time. To me, games are not a waste of time, because they calm me down after work, so they have a positive effect on my life-quality.

Who says ego-shooter ? I guess the generation which started playing when you were still peeing in to your nappies.

Are most of the hunting games average ? I don't know what you mean by average, isn't the majority always average? I did not play the most hunting games, since I would not have the time to play through 1000 of hunting games. I must also say, I think they are pretty realistic when it comes to tools and equipment. The equipment used in this game, is the same equipment used in real life hunting.

I also think you understood me wrong, with wasting their time, I tried to impress that games like Counter-Strike are plain unrealistic shattered by an immature community. All you need is training, you do not need much disciplin and patience to be successful in counter-strike. This is my personal opinion/experience, I am sure many other people feel different.

Am I a German ? Why would you ask about my nationality ? Does it have any priority in this conversation? I don't think so!

PS: Thank's for you advise, but I think it would be pretty boring to work in a library, just sitting there all day long and selling books is not my cup of tea. Maybe I am already a writer? But again, does this matter? I have an opinion which is built up on experience. That's all. I think you feel offended because you are probably between 14 and 18 playing games like CS on a daily base. But it's not my place to judge. Have fun.

Anyways SCS software has moved onto the driving sim and is currently occupied with the dark horse Euro Truck Simulator 2 and the upcoming American Truck Simulator.
Hopefully one day they will make another hunting unlimited game, I enjoy the gameplay, but better graphics and more animals/locations/etc. will always be better.
Edit: Turns out for Hunting Unlimted 2011 and it seems the game's publisher gave the license to another developer. Not saying SCS was better but it seems the franchise went downhill after that. So the license is probably dead by this point.

Exactly,I wanted to post this

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCS_Software

When I saw they are the producers from Euro Truck Simulator 2.

I DID play ETS2, but I hated it..laggs over laggs, bad driving feeling and not many specials, pretty boring. I think you must love trucks very very hard to not get bored playing ETS2.

They should have never left the hunting sim. scene....

@Locust
ETS2 is a very special kind of experience, although I admit that I am surprised that it did as well as it did, and that I actually enjoyed it.
It's not a "gamie" game. It's just something to pass the time with. But near-brainless. You get a goal (destination) and you drive there while looking at scenery on the way. You are still occupied with something but is completely capable of leaving it anytime. And I can listen to anything while playing and am completely capable of absorbing whatever is said in the background. It's just... relaxing.
It's the experience I need after playing games like Dark Souls or Bloodbowl (or just infuriating games in general, which I also "enjoy") etc. or after long, exhausting hours doing paper work. But to each's own.

P.S.: While I do see some posts about poor performances now and then, at least for me the game runs smoothly and it seems to be the case with most people. ETS2 has gone through many patches, the performance issues should be mostly patched out by now.
