Mortar?
Would be so cool if the Rising Storm mortar was usable in killing floor, what do you think?

hmmm...
...it would actually be a cool new weapon. I didn't think of it. Actually I'd like the Rising Storm flamethrower to appear in KF ^^

Would just be a fun weapon for the demolitions class to use on big maps :D
Mortar would really make me to want play bigger maps more than once or twice in a week :3

It would be a great addition.

It sounds like a great idea, if someone could figure out how to implement it into the game properly
TMAC Blade May 22, 2013 @ 4:48pm
it sounds good but it would be one of those guns like the zed eradication device, it would be a non class gun that will very expensive

that would be a good idea actually, because with the demo class it would probably be too op

No.

No mortars, no auto cannons, no tanks, no atomic submarines, no Apache helicopters.

KF is based on a worse case scenario. Your chopper crashed, your cut off, you are overrun and can only use standard squad based weapons.

Mortars, cannons, tanks, planes are all available in other games. KF is not COD, should not be COD, hope it never becomes COD.
Hmm... CoD? Idk is just me but LAWs are more CoD than mortars...

Remote non-skill killing = COD, like earning mortar strikes for a kill streak. Besides, who uses a LAW except new people or someone playing normal /hard? It is a somewhat a skill weapon because its useless except for clearing groups and has limited ammo. In COD a LAW would be not just a one shot kill, but a group kill even of very tough players. In KF a LAW will wipe out some clots, but try shooting two FP's with it at the same time and see how COD it is.

That's what I'm thinking xDD Did he forget about the LAW, and the m99, and the aa12 and all the other weapons that aren't 'standard' squad based weapons.

Sniper rifle is pretty standard as is an auto shot gun. The LAW would only be used by an anti tank squad, but is so limited in use, its a non-factor.

If you want to get overly semantic, a lever action rifle is not a squad based weapon nor is a katana.

However..
you can buy a plasma minigun eg. the ZED gun..
you can buy a heavy rocket launcher, L.A.W
you can buy a flamethrower
you can buy numerous grenade based weapons
the list goes on.. your point is invalid hahaha

The fact that the LAW isn't commonly used does not override the fact that it exists in the game, and yes the lar and the katana aren't either, thanks for agreeing that your argument is flawed.
