How do i port trigger KF?
Hey guys, so here's the deal: I was using a router for port forwarding so I could host killing floor games, but as I changed my internet providor they gave me a wireless router from Sagemcom model F@st1704 and when I went to port foward it as well I got a not so pleasant surprise, there's no port forward, instead there's something called port triggering, needless to say I couldn't figure out anything on google on how this damn thing works or how do I even host with this horrible abomination of mankind, so I humbly ask you guys if there's any solution for my problem, I'll post a screenshot of what I did and hopefully you guys can give me some tips.

Thanks in advance, and sorry for my english.

I'm also having problems with this so called port triggering. I'm keeping track of the topic, not being able to host is driving me insane.

You want to post this question in the Tripwire forums

Tripwire official killing floor general forum - to get community feed back
http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/forumdisplay.php?f=54

Tripwire official support forum - to get dev techinical feedback
http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/forumdisplay.php?f=58

you could also post teh question here http://portforward.com/ , if you do , list the ports you normally forward and someone can give you the steps to set them up for triggering.

When you post, make it clear you want instructions on how to use port triggering for KF. The way it is worded it seems you just don't know what port triggering is http://portforward.com/help/porttriggering.htm . What you want are the steps to take the list of ports you used to forward, and need instructions to set them up for triggering so you can host a listen server to play KF.

When you get the answer post it here then others will be able to find it too.

Good luck! I have never done port triggering. Couldn't find anything do a quick search either. If you find something, post it and I will add it to my guide.

From the looks of your image you have entered the ranges in the "port triggering" section of your router. You should remove them from triggering and enter them under the "Virtual server" setting of your router. "virtual server" is another name for port forwarding.

Also you can make the first 2 ranges a single entry....

Start | End
7707 | 7708

**EDIT**
image for ports needed to be forwarded..

Ok, the virtual server thingie worked like a charm, I had no idea i had to do such thing because my old router had port forwarding AND virtual servers.

But yes, it did work, thanks guys.
