does this game run on windows 8?

i have a disk copy and it says it cant run on a 64 bit pc is it different for digital copy?

Run. But need some little tweaks. Check this forum you can easy find solutions. But i noteced that framerate is lower anyway on Win8 :(

im not able to get it running at all i try compadibility mode but it just says app already running (and its not)

i can play the game on my laptop, which has windows 8. but it really isn't a great experience, correction, it's terrible. the frame rate drops massively when i zoom out and i have a huge graphic bug where trees, houses, bridges, actually everything except my character and npc's just turns in to squares and long stretched triangles. This ocures almost every 5 seconds, sometimes it's less worse when i stand still though. I don't know or they are gonna patch it so it's competable for windows 8, but if not, i will defenitley ask my money back from steam.

I hope they do patch it, I had it running on windows 8, but on 8.1 I'm encountering the app is already running glitch here.

Sacred Gold will run great on windows 8.1 with patch 2.28 from Fileplanet....I had this game from the past , and have been trying to get it to run on windows 8 ...now with patch 2.28 it runs great looks great ...no problems enjoy ...one of the best old school rpgs.

How do you install the patch? When i try it says it cant find sacred installed - even if i try and launch it from the install folder?

I had a cd copy of the game ...but if you click on on the harddrive you have steam installed on and do a search for Sacred Gold it will open up on desktop and should be able to be patched.
