Once you do that, leave the default settings alone (don't check 32bit graphics, e.g.) and it should run perfectly. It did for me. Believe it.
But in this context, it effectively means how many CPU cores the program will be allowed to access, I believe. The CPUs are numbered, say, 0 through 7 and assigning an "affinity" of CPU0 only (check only its box) will limit the program's CPU access to that one core.
