Can't get the game to work correctly with graghics.
Hi,
I can't get this game to run in full res..

I have:
Sabertooth 990FX Motherboard
FX3150 8core CPU runnig at 3.901GHZ & 4.2 in max turbo.
2 XFX HD6870 2GB GPUs in crossfire.
16 Gygabytes of RAM
Win 7 64 bit

The game only works in 800x600 & low settings. won't let me adjust to higher settings. Computer exeeds game requirements by far. Gam stats 220 of 4036 MB in the red. Thos numbers don't make sense. Should have plenty of resorces for this game. Anyone know anything.

Contacting Rockstar Support would be smart, make sure your drivers are correctly installed!!!

Found to be a cross fire problem with this game. Disable crass fire, & settings will work. You can reenable crossfire, just don't gointo the settings on the game or it will rest the next time the game is started. There wouldn't be any trouble if I didn't have crossfire with this game.

Cannot increase or change graphics settings in GTA 4 or modify default display settings:
1. Browse to the directory where you installed the game to and create a shortcut to Launchgtaiv.exe on the desktop.
2. Right click the shortcut and add the –norestrictions switch at the end of target field (leave a space after the closing quotes , add –norestrictions and press ok).
3. Start the game using the shortcut. You should now be able to change the graphics settings. Be warned that increasing graphics detail on systems with low VRAM may cause RESC10 fatal errors to occur.

this worked for me

i can only help you with this
in the game you press right click and go to properties then go to set launch options and write this in
-width(your desired number) -height(your desired number) this is an option that you can change your resolution limitless so lets say you want your resolution to be 640x480 then write -width 640 -height 480 :)
