My GTA IV CRASH and i get error

Hey, plz help me!!!! first i cant launch gta iv, i pressed play on steam then socialclub pops upp and i press play and then nothing happen... but when i start gta iv by clicking on a shortcut it worked and i could start playing, but when the game starts it says that i ahvent logged into my windowslive account so i cant svae my game, i press ok and then when it starts a new game gta just crash and it says: GTA IV FATAL ERROR: WTV190 GTA IV FATALERROR: windowsTimerFunctionsValidator::Check() -ReadFromProtectedBuffer: QPCFAILED! - Either reboot or reinstall Gme for Windows LIVE. ive reistalled the game 2 times and it still does not work!! help plzzz

I'm having the same problem. Same googling made me come to the conclusion that Games Fow Windwos Live ain't working on windows 8.. That's why it's gta4 is crashing... Don't know if there's a fix. I'm trustrated as well

hey when i start gta i see all the start menus and when its doing the intro with the characters and the music it gets minimized to my tray and after that i cant open it or close it, all i can do is end the task from tsk maneger what should i do? plz help
