Fix for securom 2000 error

I was stuck with the error "securom 2000 blah blah".
My computer is up to date with everything, make sure your is too.
I run Windows 7 64bit.

To fix it and be able to play the game I did the following:

Go to /steam/steamapps/common/Grand Theft Auto IV/GTAIV

For both GTAIV.exe and LaunchGTAIV.exe right click and select "properties"

For both go to "Compatability" and for both select "Run this program in compatability mode for:" and select "Windows XP (service pack 3)"

Launch the game by double clicking LaunchGTAIV.exe

That worked for me.

Oh and of course make sure you have "games for windows live" installed and have run it with GTA 4 at least once.
