GTA IV - Cannot Save Game

I'm not sure if anyone can help me with this, but please try, or direct me to someone who can. I just bought GTA IV for steam on my pc but I cannot save my game because I need to be connected to my windows live account, which I do, but it will not connect me and I cannot save. If anyone has anything to say please do i'm desperate.

I did get the problem too, but I wasn't using a l*g*l copy back then. Instead of trying to connect maybe you can try to make an offline gfwl accont (When the GFWL appears just find the "Create Offline Account" line (which is also underlined) and press it. Hope it helps.

Reinstall GFWL.

They should be hopefully be removing GFWL out of it soon and porting it over to Steamworks 100%.

I havn't played this game simply because of GFWL, it never stays logged in, blah blah blah, biggest heap of ♥♥♥♥.
