games will not load

My router failed. I lost steam for a few days but finally got it back after an enourmous update. All my games are gone from the pc but still show up in steam. When I hit play thers;s a pause then nothing it just goes back to the previous panel. I did delete steam from my pc and re-installed it, now I need to get my games back. help
