who know where to grt a good low end mod
i have a laptop and it runs at like 5 FPS and was thinking that a mod would help to lower the need requirments, would it help? if so where can i get a good fps boost mod.

Run the game with the following command line enabled. That will produce the highest frame rate for your hardware limitations:

-safemode

Not trying to troll here, but if you're getting 5fps, a mod isn't going to help you. Even the -safemode commandline isn't going to help. You seriously need to consider buying a new laptop.

i am now trying to build one because of problems like this one but it is hard to get 1500 out of my parent and family for a 'useless box'-my mother

This worked for my laptop, so it should work with yours too. Create a text-file and add this to it:

-norestriction
-nomemrestrict
-availablevidmem 3
-percentvidmem 100

Next save it in your GTAIV folder and title it as commandline.txt
the GTAIV folder should be at:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV\GTAIV

if you installed it using the default path for steam. That should do it, it helped me a whole lot.
