Episodes From Liberty City

Why can't I play the episodes from liberty city? When I attempt to play them I am asked for a code. I put in the same code that I use for the proper game but it tells me it's invalid. Then I am offered to BUY points or something so that I can play the game. What am I doing wrong?

EFLC on Steam is a separate game listing in your Steam Library. The only way you can play the episodes as DLC directly from the GTA IV in-game menu is if you bought them as DLC from the Games for Windows - LIVE Marketplace before the Marketplace was shut down in August 2013.

I have the same issue as OP, Steam says i have the complete edition but I do not have the EFLC as a seperate thing in my games list. I too tried entereing the cd-key and it says invalid. How can I make it work? I don't want to buy it again. Is this is a question for Steam support?

If you check under your User Account (upper right hand corner) > Account Details, does it confirm that you actually have the Complete Edition, or does it just list GTA IV? Sometimes a game is colored green in the Steam Store, but you don't really have that exact edition.
