They're no longer available for free. The games have been removed from the Rockstar website as well.

I just got a GTA pack with everything up to GTA IV in it, it included GTA 1 & 2.
They seem to run fine on Win 7 x64.

I think you can still get London 1969, and the Demos for 1 & 2, from rockstar, if you can handle the ol' skool flash sites.

Do they work? Don't know.
Would you want them? Possibly not.

As I said, they're gone from the Rockstar site as well, no word on whether they'll return. London was never given away though (was it even part of the Steam bundle?)

Ironically the free re-releases, which have allegedly been adjusted for modern operating systems, always ran much worse than the DOS/Win95 originals on every system I ever tried them on. They're a hell of a lot buggier on XP/Vista/7 than before they were "optimised".

Why would you not want them? Especially the original is, in my view, still one of the best in the series.

You can get London 1961 from the official website which is a free expansion for the original disk version of London 1969.
