Game works just fine on Windows 7

I am running windows 7 64bit. I have 16 gb of ram, Intel i7, AMD Radeon 7950, and sound blaster. Game runs great. Also has controller support. Xbox 360 controller will work but rt and lt will not work on the controller.

do u have to use any controller modifiers to use xbox 360 controller or does it work automatically with the wireless gaming reciever?

I am sorry I am using a Logitech f710 controller. Has the xbox layout but has a switch that lets it work with older pc games. My xbox triggers would not work.

I can confirm this game works on Windows 7 (64bit)

Basic Hardware:-

I7-3770k (overclocked)
16GB ram
Gtx 680
Xonar D1

Whilst I never had a problem on Vista 64 with ANY other game, this one wouldn't work.

The game -used- to require a 3rd party patch to be able to run through Steam but not anymore. Somebody needs to contact Steam and inform them of the outdated message, I would be surprised if Rockstar wasn't pissed that an outdated message was literally causing them to lose a LOT of sales.

I know this is a bit late, but the game is on sale again. OP is using AMD but you're on nVidia (like me), I was reading this thread after being happy Win7-64 worked, I wanted to make sure nVidia cards were doing ok with it. Have you since gotten it to run? I'm using my older rig right now (need to replace hard drive on newer one) but they're both Win7-64 with dual nVidia cards. If it didn't work in SLI I could look past that, for this game.
