played it just a min ago on Win7. Others are reporting being able to play as well.

I also just played it with Vista. I used the Psychadelic cheat and beat at least the first 2 or 3 races. I also unlocked my first car.
This used to be true, but now the Steam version comes with a patch that sorts everything out.

I want to buy it, but don't want to take the chance without evidence of that. I remember how fkn great this game was (and how frustratingly hard it was), and I want to re-live that old glory, but I'm kinda hesitant due to that message on the store page.
I play it on Vista, and there are tons of photos on the community page of people playing on Vista and even Windows 8.1
ever since rockstar had sales for gta, max payne, etc they patched this game and included it on their sales binge. it works

I'm on win 7 with the MC2 MODern Edition patch and it runs fine.

I got the retail version and it works like a charm. It even supports full HD. A friend of mine however has problems. He gets a compatibility error. He is using Ati and I use Nvidia so It might be this. Anyone can confirm this doen't run on Ati cards?
