Crashing when a car blows up

Every time the car blows up in the intro cinematic to the Sweet & Kendl mission (in the very beginning) the game crashes. Even if I skip the cutscene it crashes. There's absolutely no way around this, so how can I avoid it crashing when it blows up?

I changed visual fx quality to low, and it helped for me

Either unplug all your monitors but one when playing SA, or install SilentPatch.

Do you have any Cleo mods that replaced particle.txd? That might be it

I deleted all my Cleo stuff, but it still crashed, cause the textures were still replaced, I guess. Idk, I’m a total noob. So I reinstalled and downgraded it, and it worked. So my question is, do you know why it would crash? I downgraded it using the rockstar nexus downgrader exactly the same way is says in the vadim M video and downloaded all the mods and they work in game, and I know I installed Cleo right because other mods would work well with it, so I don’t know. I noticed one time I played that sweet ran right in front of smoke’s car when it blew up, if that helps. I started another thread asking what types of mods or replaced files will cause crashes. Also, can I at least know how to back up the entire GTA SA directory cause I hear you have to do that for Cleo mods. Thanks so much, I’m sorry to bump another forum, but this guy has basically the same problem, except I don’t know if it’s because he has mods or not. Thanks

@isaactser50 actually now that I read in it other discussions, it might be because I had frame limiter off, but probably not, idk.
