This game stil great after all these years

It was a pain to set up. Steam really shouldn't sell games that don't work straight out of the box. But after some tweaking the game played great. So did Vice City and San Adreas. GTA3 though was the first, and it still plays really well considering how old it is. It could have been sold for the first time today and it would stand up to some modern titles.

I couldn't stand the camera while using a controller, It does show it's age there and in a few parts seem a little dated, but other wise it's a great game and still holds up rather well even to this day.

I actually didn't require any tweaking to play this game, I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64. And I think that the game aged good, except for not being able to rotate the camera in a vehicle.

I don't know what you mean about GTA 3 being the first....it's at least the 4th GTA game to come out....unless you meant that it's the first GTA game out of the 3 you listed you got on Steam....

But yeah. still a great game indeed

I would love if achievements would be superglued to GTA3 in some way. I made my own in a way, because screencapture in a Steam game is so exclusive, you have to play the game for your self, there is no way to insert screencaptures that you didnt take yourself.

Game was very nice, some missions took me a while to complete, such as "Turismo" if you didn't know you could use a banshee already or "Smack Down" which was very annoying.

Well an achievement you could go for maybe is 100% the game. It's a lot of work, but totally a great feeling to actually finish the game and do everything in it.

I never played it during its prime in the PS2 days but playing it for the first time today, it's still fun to play, and the level of effort put into making it is still greater than in
many newer games.

works fine on windows seven, Don't think i'l ever update from seven doesn't seem gamer friendly. The only game i can't get to work is neverwinter nights.

Really wanna play the GTA3 trilogy games with a controller, feeling uncomfortable using the mouse and keyboard.

the older games require a mouse for high precision aiming, but it would be interesting if support could be added for guided aiming with a controller

I'm stuck on the sniper mission on the first island since it's on my big picture machine with no mouse/kbd. I assume everyone saying it works is not using a controller...
