Worked fine, installed GInput and now it doesn't.
I installed Ginput so I could play the game with full controller support and now my menu, even after uninstalling, removing the game and re-installing, restarting the machine will not go back to normal. How do I reset a game or a cache or whatever the hell is going on?

Use the downgrader patch, google it. It doesn't work with the steam version.

The game does work perfectly without a controller patch.

Use a Playstation 2 controller which is plugged in via a playstation USB adapter, simples! Works fine for me!

When you delete local content, the mods/patches still survive; thus do delete local content, then wipe the actual GTA3 installation directory. That'll remove the ginput bits in full- or just wipe them manually.
