I remember when i bought this game 10 years ago...
I stole some of my moms money, went down to a game shop (I think target or Gamestop), and I bought it without her knowing (of course, back then there was no over 18 laws to buy an M game), then I put it in my PS2 (which consequently died a year later), and whenever my mom walked into the room, I told her i was playing a racing game.
Lol, speaking of which, whenever she would watch me play the game, I would accidentally run over a pedestrian, and she was HORRIFIED! Like, hands over mouth *GASPING*.

I can not wait until my paycheck to buy this game.
I am 17 now, and I am about to experience the greatest nostalgia since Battlefront 2 and Battlefield 2.

You sir are misinformed. I run a modded version of GTA III all the time. Just make sure you keep your game from staying "up to date" otherwise it'll undo your mods.

Here's a nifty little screenshot that actually displays what I use:

It still plays vanilla, nothing game-changing, but it IS definitely modded. I admit it might have to do with the cracked exe (basically the same, but it fixes color issues with the cars), but then again that's a mod that's not hard to come by.

Now, as for GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas, such a point stands firm-- there really aren't many mods that work for those games anymore. GTA III though, completely moddable.

All of those games are perfectly moddable.

Yeah, I think you just need to downgrade VC and SA.

Omg, I wish this game had aged well. It's so dissappointing that the graphics look like crud - and I don't even remember them being this bad. XD

Daamn, I guess the graphics back then were like GTA V's.
