Critical Error or Runtime Error
Just bought this as part of the Tripwire deal and can't play Red Orchestra or Darkest Hour as it doesn't even start up. All I get is either critical error or runtime error. I've done some searches online and all I am getting is "Install latest drivers" (Everything is up to date!), "Install latest DirectX" (Ditto), verify cache (Done that 4 times so far), Uninstall game and reinstall (Done that twice). There has to be a solution, surely?

I don't know if this will work for you guys but I finally got it running! I uninstalled Red Orchestra and Darkest Hour, I then reinstalled Red Orchestra on its own and went to the .exe file, ticking compatibility for Windows XP Service Pack 2, also ticking Disable Desktop Composition. I then double-clicked the .exe instead of the "play" in Steam and it ran! Once I had played around with Red Orchestra a bit, I then installed Darkest Hour and that worked as well.

After that, Red Orchestra now works fine when clicking "Play" from the Library. Hope this helps you, guys. :)
