How about you buy the game and support the francaise?

ITS a great game, once you spend a few quid on it, then you have it forever. buy it, support the francaise

I bought it, nobody plays it, so make the people play it, instead of having the game on the counter shelv and just letting it dust, make it free!, Is it too much to ask for, so that people would play it.

RO1 will never die!

Not really, I still see lots of people on Darkest Hour, espcially 29th server and RP server.

Tripwire wouldn't gain much from making the game free, unless companies paid to advertise on their game.
For instance, a Tiger tank would now be called the Coca-Cola Tiger tank, painted in coke colours, and in every map there would be an Apple-Store, spreading the brand of Apple.

You said it yourself, on Darkest hour, but Ostfront remains empty. Although I think quite the contrary, Tripwire would get a lot, if it makes the game free, I don't mean to make it really free, make it a free 2 play game, or something, so that it wouldn't just sit there in the shelf for us to look at it, why not make it cheaper, or make some advertisment for it, or the symplest ideea a contest for 100 game keys, or a free week for Ostfront?

The game is practically free now. You can get it for literally cents on Humble Bundle site.

You can get RO 1 and 2 for 1$ if you're so inclined! Although the games are worth more than 1 $.

I already have it, my point was to make it free for other people who would want to play it, to fill up the servers.
carigis Apr 3, 2013 @ 6:15am
considering the humble bundle sale, I think the servers will get more activity for a little bit anyway.

It is not true that the servers are empty. I only play ostfront and there are always +- 25-40 people online; enough for at least one server. With the humblebundle there will be a lot more activity and a boost too the playerbase. Anyways I would like to ask at the new players if they could stop team-killing me. Last game I played I was teamkilled for 8 times (with a riffle, no handgrenade or artellery accident :) )

Considering that STEAM has it in a bundle pack right now, again, for a super discount you can get both the first game and the second game as well as the second game's upgrade. That makes the first game ALMOST free and leaves you to purchase the DLC for the first game to your choice.

Dispite this I think the OP's intent was to suggest that IF they made the OsF 41-45 game F2P then it might bring more players back to the original game to play. Then the developers can make their money off of DLCs and addons for the game since apparently they are still putting them out. This seems to be a legitimate suggestion considering how old the game is now and the fact that there is a sequel which happens to also offer singleplayer game play for those who aren't interested in full blown multiplayer..

Just my 2 bits folks.
