Prototype 2 is the typical lackluster sequel if there ever was one. Sure, the graphics are prettier and the the gameplay is "refined", but it suffers the burden of being not only a poor port, but something of a shoe-in title.
The story is less than great and won't keep you invested in the game. While the game itself is fun, it has the potential to be extremely tedious and sometimes purely boring. The "side missions" are a rinse and repeat formula and strikingly exhausting. Sure, the first few are fun, maybe - but soon they become a real pain.
If you're playing the game with an AMD card, you'll have to deal with constant memory leakage, gradually cranking the game's performance down and leaving you with a sad twitching pile of polygons and laggy blur effects. I had to end up downloading a third party application to have the game run smooth and actually have a chance at finishing it without losing my mind.
If you're interested in an "open world" superhero game, (the open world is actually not "open" - it's split into districts of fairly small sizes that require fast travel between them; invisible walls, ahoy!) where you're free to run wild and destroy things and throw people, this game is exactly what you're looking for. If you're looking for immersive story and impressive mechanics, steer clear.
