Plenty of excuses, still no patch. Co-op still broken.
Enough excuses. I don't care about MS certification ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ or who's "fault" it is that you released a broken co-op, even though it's been on xbox for over a year.

Where the ♥♥♥♥ is the patch? Fix your broken game please.

I know you're "working on it". Work faster. I don't need 5 posts a day from DF employees discussing the bug, you should be working on fixing the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bug, not reading steam forums.

Last DF game I'll ever buy. I've played beta's more stable than your co-op. And I bet all your beta tester got to keep their jobs. There is no justice.

So much anger and hatred. DF develop interesting and enjoyable games, so cut them some slack. So what the co-op is buggy? They have a small team working on a whole bunch of projects right now, I'm sure they are actually working on a patch so just chill out dude.

I feel your pain. Me and a buddy just made it to wave 56 at the swamp. The stats said it was 83 minutes of game time but it was actually over 3 hours of Real time because of the glitchy lag crap! I bought this for the xbox and stopped playing it after one day because of the glitchy crap. I was excited to see it drop on steam because i thought it would run as well as the computer would allow it. Boy was I wrong in that assumption! Still the same old glitchy crap. It's not horrible in single player until you hit wave 20 or so in survival mode. it's glitchy from wave one always in multiplayer! This game is in desperate need of a patch. This one game has gotta be wrecking their rep so bad. I know I won't buy anymore of their games in the future either untill they have been out for a while and have been tried and proven!

I agree, they should send us feedback on their work on the patch. It just seems that they are ignoring this bug that makes this great game undesirable to play.

Yeah, game is great. But get the net code fixed ASAP! Pleeeease

How do i put it... Just imagine you bought a car, a really nice car. its great and has some crazy features, witch you really like. But it has a ''little problem'' you cant steer it, only drive forward. So you paid the money and cant use it at all, but it is still a nice car.....
my feelings about complete broken coop gameplay and waisted hours of time for a ''memory error'' message

I hate analogies but I will play along. Just like when you buy a used car for 1500 dollars (or a game for 15.00 dollars) you take some risks. It is your reasponsiblity to review that car (game) and realize that it might not work with you particular setup (I am done with this analogy.) and while I understand your frustration, I have had no issues with the game. It's rather fun and the co-op doesn't seem bad at all.

That said please take a look at http://www.doublefine.com/forums/viewthread/7466/ to see if that solves your issues.

A patch soon would be VERY nice, becuase this lag is just frustrating
parall4x 8/set./2012 às 10:02
It's kind of frustrating that this glitch exsists after being released to retail because it's such an obvious glitch. One or two maps of co-op play testing would have revealed the scrap collection memory leak and yet here we are. Let's step it up, Double Fine.
Nidjo 8/set./2012 às 23:13
I had my first experience with Co-Op last night. It was horrible.
Untill a patch fixes this I wont play anymore. Sad as I really enjoyed playing the game single player.

It also doesent seem to help that some people cannot even play if the Damnable G for WL will not even let me play at all! I am at a university with some firewalls to protect the students, and this forewall is preventing G for WL from acessing my computer...... and this prevents me form playing the game in any form....... I dont even WANT co-op yet! I just want to play the bolldy game...... if anyone has some sujestions, plaese let me know....... I would aprecheate(pardon the spelling) the help.

Anyone try http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2931003 As soon as a friend logs on I am going to test it. I am hopeful.

Edit: It did help with the lag when you pick up scrap but I was getting disconnected from the host every so often.

Hi there!
It helps but doesn't solve the problem :[ Only local profile in GFWL solves the lag for me, so no multi :'( PATIENCE...

From the last I heard, Double Fine had finally fixed the scrap lag bug and was waiting for a few other fixes to finally submit a patch to Microsoft, who then have to spend 2-4 weeks testing it. Did I mention each patch costs around $40,000?

Cut DF some slack. The bug only shows up when using the public GWFL network, not the private Microsoft network they were forced to use during development. I beat all the missions in Co-op, lag and all. I got my $15 dollars' worth without being a whiny prat.

I'm happy that you were able to play through the game on coop, but many of us are still stuck with the GFWL overlay taking over everything, making the game literally unplayable - lag or no.

I don't really blame DoubleFine for this though. They're using some libraries provided by Microsoft to do all the terrible GFWL stuff, so as far as I'm concerned Microsoft is the largest offender here. This is especially true since Microsoft charges such an extrortionist fee to push patches, then sits on them for their own testing. It results in a very poor customer experience.

I originally wasn't going to buy the game at all due to the GFWL integration - it always leads to issues of one kind or another. Someone bought it for me though, so at least I'm not out any money myself. Single player is pretty fun.

Waiting so long for a patch is frustrating, but I imagine that Double Fine is pretty annoyed about the whole situation too. Oh well.

Hey, maybe if they knew how to properly test their games, this bug wouldn't exist in the first place. Or maybe complacent, passionless douchebags like yourself are the reason red tape and bureaucracy like this continues to exist, further diminishing the quality of games. I've seen plenty of ppl kissing the ass of DF, even though they seem understaffed and involved with the worst publisher in all of gaming. It seems you care about the game about as much as DoubleFine, which is to say not at all.

In case you haven't noticed, most posts on the forums involve complaints of how poorly the game runs. Instead of discussing strats or loadouts or forming a real community (juse see omd2's forums), poor net code and sloppy beta testing have resulted in another ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port of a great game.

They are doing the work now that they should've done before releasing the game. We just beta tested the game for them. This seems to be the current trend in gaming, and everyone just shrugs their shoulders and says "oh well".
