So they're not going to even bother removing the gamebreaking bug?
So I bought this game at full price on launch and it was completely broken, it had crazy low fps from the scrap stutter but and the multiplayer didn't work.

Now the game has been discounted many times, the issues with it still haven't been fixed and it's sounding like double fine aren't going to bother fixing them.

So here's my question, are Doublefine going to fix the three big issues with the game or are they just going to rip off their customers with a blatent bait and switch?? The three big issues are:
1) Scrap stutter bug. This one is huge and completely game breaking
2) Multiplayer matchmaking being broken. You can't find any games and will never - ever - get a 4 player match
3) the 30 fps cap. This is ridiculous on a pc game.

WIll people ever read forums before creating the n-th duplicate topic?

1) The scrap stutter bug is annoying. But it doesn't break the game. Single player works.
The missions are playable in multiplayer. Survival gets rough in higher waves but is doable.

2) Matchmaking can't conjure people out of thin air. If no one is online, you won't find people to play with. Find 3 three friends, set up a date and a four player game will be no problem. Random gfwl bugs not accounted for.

3) It's not a real issue, in the sense of a bug, or a problem.

Double Fine would love to patch the game and has been working on it. The problem is their agreement with Microsoft forces them to put any patch through an expensive and time consuming process, testing and vetting any changes made to the game because of GFWL. They're actually pretty amazing with support (look at all the Brutal Legend fixes week 1, and that was a fresh port) but are hindered by their agreement.

It's more likely we'll see IB re-released as a Steam supported multiplayer game than getting another patch past MS, but it would fix all the issues we've seen.

I don't get it. If the stutter is because of crap, just remove all of them. Give player a quarter of craps everytime something's dead. Problem solved! Granted this would make all the magnet turret obsolete, but does anyone use it anyhow?

Had they done this sooner, people would still have stick around and MP wouldn't be as dead. No, it would be playable and people would stick around. Then matchmaking wouldn't be too much a problem.

Not a bad idea. This game has been completely abandoned now though. It's obvious that it will never be fixed.

Sadly true. A friend of mine cant even get the game running and he even emailed Double Fine with no response in a month so far.

Did he send an email to support@doublefine.com?

Regarding the scrap stutter bug, there are contractual limitations that prevent us from addressing the bug. We always want to fix issues as they arise. Unfortunately, in some cases they cannot be addressed until certain hurdles are jumped. We will immediately update the community if and when the situation changes and we're able to address it.

Then remove the damn game from Steam and stop scamming people out of their money. You're selling a totally broken game as if it's working. It's a complete disgrace.

The game is sold by Microsoft, aka the producer. The developer has no control over games produced by someone else.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about because you must have meant publisher not 'producer'. Doublefine should at the very least put a big disclaimer on the store page telling people that the damn thing doesn't even work.

It has been confirmed several times that devs have full control over the store page.

Still literally nothing done to fix a completely broken game. Even though loads of devs are removing GFWL from their games now, double fine still don't care.

This game is abandonware. Thanks for taking my money and running guys!

I sent doublefine an email. Please await the response.
Many other publishers are now announcing their plans.

Capcom - OFFICIAL. ALL games will have GFWL removed. YES!
2K - Bioshock 2 removed
WB Games - Batman REMOVED
Eidos - Offical answer is no information at this time
Doublefine - Pending answer

THe pressure is on people. Since publishers are removing it this is going to force the industry to comply. And in the gaming idustry gamers can be brutal to a company for beign crossed. So, expect Doublefine to respond soon enough.

I think Ubisoft and Uplay is a BAD THING. Soon enough that will come under fire sooner or later since MS dropped draconian DRM. Uplay is just as bad if not worse.

You may want to to send an inquiry to Microsoft, as they are the
publisher and holder of the intellectual property, which is Iron Brigade.

I think it is time to just put DF on my list of devs to not purchase from. It doesn't look like they give a damn about supporting their older games, or even getting them fixed to actually work. It's just too bad. Nice to see some companies like WB and 2K getting ahead of the curve and taking care of their customers. DF could learn from their example.
