30fps cap removed yet?
I know that it was spoken about before that they were going to remove the 30fps cap at some point... has this happened yet? I uninstalled the game the minute I saw that it was capped. I love the gameplay, but I can't bring my self to play the game.

I'd love to be able to play it... but I mistakenly bought the game. I have boycotted all of their games because of the caps. So I was hoping some how this got resolved.

I'd like to know as well considering the new patch just released :3

no its going to stay at 30fps cap and they are never going to fix the scrap stutter bug, just quite literally facts of life. 30fps cap is fine if i could play, but the scrap stutter bug completely ruined the game for me a long time ago.

This.

Also, multiplayer is broken.

Even if they did remove the FPS cap, they've stated that fixing the stutter bug is beyond their control... and that bug makes most of the rest of the changes a moot point.

Sorry. :|

LOL boycott fail.
You own 3 out of the 4 MGS games on Steam:

lol got me! Listen... I was in a desperate spot and wanted to get to 500 games as quickly as possible... if it's any consolation to my boycotting... I paid no more than a dollar per game. So they got nothing from me.

Plus I was mainly speaking about DoubleFine and not MGS.

Now that GFWL ends, won't they be able to solve all these problems?

GFWL service is not Microsoft Corporation. They are still around until their contract as a publisher ends, then rights should revert to DF.

I wonder if that would give any hope the frame rate cap to be removed by them...? Probably not... :(

Doublefine developed this mess. It is entirely their fault that it's hideous and completely unplayable. Years later and they've not even bothered to fix it.

Now, this is just a blatant lie. There have been patches, betas and fixes.
There is this thing called 'Intellectual Property'. Under the sub-category of 'facts'.

lmao

Cool, so we'll just ignore the fact that this game is completely abandoned by double fine despite:
1) Scrap stutter bug. This one is huge and completely game breaking. It literally stops you progressing if you get too far
2) Multiplayer matchmaking being broken. You can't find any games and will never - ever - get a 4 player match without it disconnecting.
3) the 30 fps cap. This is ridiculous in a modern pc game.
4) the awful performance issues that stop the game running smoothly on most peoples machines. We're talking about an xbox-live arcade game FFS - it's HORRIBLY optimised.

I love how they blame microsoft for all these things despite the fact it's clearly their fault xD

It's up to the devs to make a game that actually works.

It's entirely DF's fault that this game has a ridiculous 30fps limit and microsoft have said that anyone can remove GFWL from their games whenever they want. DF don't care though.

Yep. Intellectual Property and Copyright Laws are completely irrelevant, no reason
for anyone to obey them. What could happen anyways?
Samalot Sep 19 @ 12:38am
It's crazy that this game is so fundamentally broken and yet shills will still keep defending DF to death.

It's not just this game they're abandoning now, they've just announced they're going to abandon Starbase DF-9 with only a fraction of the content they promised people.

You've been drinking too much of the Double Fine Kool Aid BrandeX.
