Im running a Driving force gt on it fine, you cant use it in the menus but works fine when racing just had to use the customise keys bit in menu and allocate them to the pedals and wheels. awsome game btw

For future reference DiRT works fine with G27. H Gate shifter is not supported but you can set change up to fourth gear and change down to third and it's nearly the same as a sequential if you insist on not using the paddles.

Is the FFB correctly supported?

Yes, but driving feels just strange. Like car always with brakes. Sad, that last good driving game by CM have poor driving feel.

I've done some tweaking and found a way to improve (somewhat) how the G27 works with DiRT. What I've done is basically make it so the game uses the G25's settings (which should be the same as the G27) for the G27. FFB seemed greatly improved, and the D-Pad/Buttons are now working in the menus.

Here's how to do those fixes:
- I'm assuming we're always starting from DiRT's install folder (Steam\SteamApps\common\DiRT)
- The text editor should be either Windows' Notepad, or (and I recommend this option) Notepad++, which is free and light.
1. The keybinds: go into "ActionMaps", open "actionMapPreset1.xml" with a text editor and replace all occurencies of "G25" with "G27", then save the file.
2. The FFB: go into "forcefeedback", open "devicesetup.xml" and change "G25" with "G27" then save the file.

The next time you launch the game, go to Options->Controls and use the default configuration for your wheel (it should be displayed instead of Keyboard). Hopefully this will improve the FFB.

Thanks for the tip Salami, worked great. Just need to fix the super sensitive steering.

Make sure Profiler is not using the 180° default rotation and set the steering linearity in game to 0 or higher. This should reduce the sensitivity around the center point.

Interesting.

With the DFGT I've had to go full negative linearity to get good center control while using 540dgr steering. Normally I use zero, but in DiRT the center is very sloppy, which leads to over steering, but with full negative you get normal responsiveness in the center.

Combined with full saturation this solves my steering issues.
