I was playing as Maggy, and found the Habit on sale in basement 2 after accidentally derping into a shop without thinking. Oh, sweet! Now I'm practically invincible until the Womb! Fast forward to a Fortune Teller Super Secret Room. I managed to multiply the machines with Wheel of Fortune and ended up using two temperance cards, getting rich as all hell, and having 2 more hearts from that room alone, along with stacking up soul hearts. In leaving the room, I'd noticed that I took a Missing Page instead of the Goat Hoof I'd picked up earlier to compensate for Maggy's slow speed. No biggie, I thought. If my invincibility hinges on me taking damage anyways, why not?

The RNG is not amused with my hubris. Necropolis 1, the boss? War. I'd managed to spawn an angel room and get the Dead Dove, so I thought "Hey, as soon as I knock him off his horse, I'll hide on the rocks and use the spectral tears to make him my ♥♥♥♥♥!" Come one of his bombing runs, I take damage, the Missing Page goes off. . . . .


And War never comes back into the room. My only option? Quit the run. AAAAAARRRGHHH!!!!
