There is no refund, sorry.

God I don't want a refund! I just wish they had a better system so some of us don't feel cheated.

That happened to me with deus ex human revolution. first 50% off, then immediately after 75% off. i felt burned too. but hey, much like you, the value was still there, so we just have to adjust our buying habits to be careful. i've decided to only buy 75% off items (unless there is something i really want). seems the safe bet.

steam is kinda turning the 50% off sales into a "trap". so don't trust 50%. expect to get burned if you do, and prepare your psyche appropriately ;)

the day after I bought the magica collection, new dlc came out and the entire collection went on sale for 75% off, so at least this happened to you when it was already on sale :P
Krova Steel 28 jan, 2013 @ 19:06
Yeah The day after i bought Torchlight II it went on sale for 50%, and then On sale 2 pack for even less...

A few months ago, Assassin's Creed pack (4 games) went on sale for 49.99, I went for it. 30 min later they changed it to $33.99. Yeah.
Loaderini 28 jan, 2013 @ 19:48
Really, Krova Steel? You buy the game JUST ONE DAY before it goes on a sale? Really? That's messed up. You should have predicted sales or something.
Werruraz 28 jan, 2013 @ 20:00
Lets be honest, it's not expensive and it's deffinitley worth it's full price.
same thing happened to me, Sonic Generations day after 50% off it goes to 75% off so 30-15$ instead of 7,50 but i say to myself hey after all people buy this game at full price 60-70$ and this game worth it but like this guy said i will be carreful to next 50% deals

I work at a certain corporate game store. And we allow returns under certian circumstances because our advertisement on upcomming deals are very short notice. But, I traded in a console for store credit. 2 days later, double credit for consoles..... Bastards.

On Topic, I am not upset with purchasing this game for 50% off instead of 75%. That just means more went to developers and what not. Hopefully they continue making content for this ridiculously hard and wierd game.
Thats the chance you take with Steam. I bought it for full price and don't mind. It's a good game.
Death by Milk 29 jan, 2013 @ 3:45
As many have said the exact same thing happened to me last week with the Deus Ex games. I bought the GOTY at full price and the very next day it was 50% off. The added salt in the wounds came when I decided I may as well get Deus Ex: The Invisble War while it was half price; one day later all the Deus Ex games were 75% off as part of the Square Enix sale. All in all if I had just waited a couple of more days I would of saved £6. It's not a huge amount of money and to be fair, every other game I've bought off Steam has been in the sale.

The lesson learned here is never get a Steam game unless it hits the magic 75% off mark. Wait and be patient. God knows I've got the games to keep me busy what with all these sales they have every day.

Dude. It happened to me too. Yesterday bought the game + the DLC, now I think I'll buy the soundtrack but....... It's always 5 euros. And now they sell it at 1.49?
Cable 29 jan, 2013 @ 6:14
Guys, it's not a big deal. At least you didn't pay full price, and even if you did... If you were broke or this game was going to make you broke, you just should have gotten it. And it's like that for any game.
