The Binding of Isaac
17 hours and i hate this game
Really, what sence in making your game so hard that player can't win even once in 17 hours? Guess it was too stupid to buy dlc before i finished the original game

I thought I would never beat it. Just keep trying. It isn't meant to be a easy game.
It feels i had enough of it. Feels like a waste of time at the moment. You can finish two full games in 17 hours, and i am not even close to an end of tBoI by this point
I completed the game two or three times like in 10 hours. Just don't be so risky. Check this thread for some good tips: http://steamcommunity.com/app/113200/discussions/0/828925849219053962/

i would reccomend cheat engine just for the purpose of making only the original floors appear and not the alternate floors until you can take the harder alternate ones (caution: I do not endorse cheat engine for anything besides removing curses and making it only generate original floors it will single handedly ruin your gaming experience if you do anything more than that it happened to a friend of mine)
Maybe this can help?

I don't know if that works or not, I have the game with the DLC included and I'm OK with it. I'm not interested in the vanilla version of this game.
You must be pretty young; this game is no harder than 8 and 16 bit games used to be. It's certainly not for everyone and if you don't like it, don't play. But it's certainly not "too hard."
i havent killed mom until 60 (or so) death
its a very easy game once you get the hang of it
trust me i really hated the game when i started too
Thanks for all replies. Ultimately it all comes down to "play more of it", and i'll do so eventually.

Had Sega Mega Drive when i was young. Games were quite easy and accesible these days. It feels like NES games are way harder to beat.
Finished the game 4 times in 10 hours, bought the dlc at 14 hours of gameplay. Haven't beaten the game once since.
TBOI is definately a very tough game when you first try it, I rage quit like seven times before I figured out how to survive. Once you figure out how to avoid most of the attacks, it's accually very easy, but it sometimes gets boring after you've beaten Mom like 30 times.
Though I don't have the DLC just yet, and I hear it is a lot harder if you have it, which only tempts me to buy it more and more!

Just take your time in each room, learn each monster and boss inside out. Remember if you can't do a room and want to get out and don't need to get through the room just blow the door open with a bomb if needed and go back out. Try to unlock the character who starts off the heart item as well, it heals you one heart when used, helps a lot.
This game is designed to kill you. Try not taking so many risks and unlocking cain is really helpful for trying to get your first win.
Just keep pushing through and discovering more things if the game was too easy to complete you wouldn't discover all the items present thats the point to explore and repeat!
i bought it with both with the dlc before playing it, i beat mom for the first time in 6 hours, the game is VERY hard, it aint meant to be a cake walk. You will get angry thats the point. Its a bit like FTL the game is meant to troll you which is fun to some, other like you just dont like that type which aint a problem, you dont like the game that sucks but its not that bad (the game aint that expensive).
It gets easier after the first time you beat it, with more powerups unlocked and such. Try to unlock Magdalena, imo the game's easier with her.
