Eternal Guide - Binding of Isaac iOS (iPhone) app
Hello guys!

Let me introduce iOS reference app - Eternal Guide[itunes.apple.com].
It might be usefull, if you had not remember all in-game items yet. Instead of alt-tabbing to the Wiki to see what this item used for, you now can take your phone and find certain item in few taps :)

Currently it contains information about:

• Activated items
• Collectible items
• Trinkets
• Tarot cards
• Pill effects

You can choose item category and type item name into the searbar or you can just scroll to the familiar image.

If you have something to say (there is a bug, you have suggestion on how to improve app, etc.), please feel free to post here.

Version history:
1.0.1 - Fixed crash on iOS 5.1

Is there anyone on this forum who uses an app?
I'm currently looking forward to add monters, other pickups, rooms, secrets, etc.
And I want to know, what exactly users want to get first?

Not too sure why people would use another device to get Isaac information when they could use the wikia that already contains everything?

1) More comfortable cause searching is in item names when on wiki you search through all page. Also item lists are more compact so scrolling (when you looking for a certain item image) takes less time.
2) You don't need to alt-tab
3) You don't need internet connection.

1) Ctrl+F? :P
2) No, I just need to pick up a phone from my pocket or desk instead. Both are just as cumbersome.
3) Chances are if they have downloaded Isaac then they have an internet connection. I know this isn't always true, but it would usually be the case. Especially if they have a phone!

1) Ctrl+F - yes, it sux cause there are multiple instances of item name on page but only 1 in app.
2) I always have phone on my desk when I am at home.

BTW, app has 45-50 downloads per day, so... :)

I'm not saying don't continue it. Just in my personal opinion I'd just stick with the wikia. Maybe that's because I helped to write the wikia, though.

1) Ctrl+F works fine for me. On rare cases, you might type the name of an item and elsewhere it says "Does not stack with *Item Name*" and they clash, but pressing "Next Result" isn't too difficult! :P

2) So do I. But in my opinion, an alt tab or a quick click off the Isaac game screen (I play in Windowed, so I just click off) is simpler and quicker than fiddling around with my phone.

If it was on Android, I'd give it a quick whirl for you regardless and give feedback based on that. ;)

Ah!!! It was the main reason I decided to write this app. For me it was too annoying :)

Fair enough, fair enough! And if you're enjoying creating the app, then please do continue! Who am I to tell you otherwise? :)

I really like this app as I find it easier to leave it open as I play rather than minimize to the wiki. I'll be sure to spread the word.

Nice app. It is much simplier than the wiki and easy to search. Please add rooms so that I can search what I can get from the devil room. Thank you so much!

So are you gonna create an android version? I'd like to try it, but i don't have an iphone.

Sorry, but no. I don't have Android device. Also don't have any experience in development for that platform

It's a lot more comfortable looking at the items on the phone instead of wikia! Cmoon guys, it's free and works well, and dscTobi gives something like a quick and real app support! ahah
Thanks for the quickest update i've ever seen! LOL

If i can, i'd like to give some suggestions, for example:
1) A search button everywhere and not just divided for categories. (and maybe a button that bring you up to the seach form, when you're too down with the scroll)
2) A big "Item" category divided in two sub-categories (Activated and Collectibles), because sometimes you can find Items in the shop and you don't know what category is, neither the name so you have to find looking at the images.
3) Add to the "Activated Items" category the rooms you need to recharge, maybe just adding the number between parenthesis. (ex. The Book of Belial (3) ) THAT'S IMPORTANT!
4) A better graphic! Not really important, but the Android app looks better! If you need a help for this, I can use Adobe Illustrator&Photoshop...so just ask! I love this project.

However for people who use Android, you can find a similar app on the Google Play Store, and It's free too! The name is "The binding of Isaac Database".

GOOD AND USEFUL JOB MAN! THANK YOU!

Ah, maybe add a list of unlockable Achievements. And, if it's not so hard to do, add a list of Bosses and enemies. Basically, everything that's on wikia.
If I can do anything to help, also just copy and paste to you wikia pages, let me know.

Sorry for my English. I can't speak very well. :)
