Tips for The Binding of Isaac

For those of you who have recently started playing "The Binding of Isaac" game on Steam, here are a few small things that could make your gameplay more comfortable:

*If you see a rock in a room that is slightly tinged blue and has a tiny 'x' on it, blow it up if you have a bomb! The blue rocks drop soul hearts, chests and other stuff when blown up.

*If you have her, I found that you can use Magdalene to unlock Eve easier (You need to make 2 deals with the devil in 'Devil Rooms' that mostly pop up after you unlock a secret [Beating a level, beating all bosses, etc.] but don't leave the room if you see that room!) because all items in there cost soul hearts or heart containers, and, having a total of 4 hearts, Maggy is the best to use. To unlock Maggy you need to have 7 heart containers in one gameplay; soul hearts don't count.

* If you have an item that randomly teleports you, then you can access a room known as the "I AM ERROR" room. It's somewhat better than the secret room, having coins spattered everywhere and an item in the room, and it also takes you down to the next level!

*Secret rooms are rooms not located on the map, and can be found by blowing a hole in a wall where a door would be. One way to sometimes to find those rooms easiern is to look for an empty space between two rooms. For example you're in a room and you go up one room, then go right twice and go down again. Look at the map: there should be a gap between the room you started in and the room your in now. Blow up the wall on the left of the room you're in to get to the secret room if you don't see anymore gaps like that on the map.

*You can blow up closed wooden doors while fighting to escape. Although I wouldn't recommend doing it on purpose.

And with the Wrath of the Lamb DLC, it is usually not worthwhile going into the curse rooms. Sure, you might get something neat, but you will most likely get a troll bomb or two, or a pair of spiders.
