Can't Start Game: DirectX Error

I'm getting a different error from the one in the faq. I'm getting "The call 'CreateDevice' returned error 'D3DERR_INVALIDCALL: Invalid call" I've tried reinstalling the lates directx and the recommended sdk in the faq. Could either the developer/anyone else having this problem provide assistance? Thank you for your time.

This is an issue we are actively working on. You are not alone! It has to do with the video card. Hopefully we can sort this out for you :)

i had the same problem here are the responses i got. I still have the problem but these might fix it for you:

1) Try launching from the .exe

if that doesn't tickle your computers fancy

2) Install this stuff:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86 or search for x64 if you need that)

DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)

I have not tried to play this game myself, but previously I had a similar error with a different game. I can't say it will fix it, but try changing the resolution level before you try playing. The game I had the similar issues with didn't support the resolution I normally use, and it came back with different directx errors until I found one that was supported, then the game ran fine. Again, I haven't tried playing this game, but if my idea fixes it for you, it will help a lot of people who have the same issues. Let us know, okay?

Andy what resolution do you use to play the game mine is 1600x900 what can i use to run the game?

I just put up another build on BETA that may fix this problem. Sorry again about the delay, I'm starting to run out of ideas. Give the new Beta branch another shot and let me know if it helps. For instrucitons on how to use the beta branch, go here:
