Random crashing
Really frustrated. The game will cause my computer to hard lock after 5-20 minutes of play. I am doing local two player coop with 2 wireless xbox controls. The screen just goes black and there is no error message

So far I have reinstalled the game, reinstalled my audio drivers, and tried launching the exe directly. Any help is appreciated.

I'm not sure if it will solve your problem, but some people have had success working around screen blink bug by running the game as an administrator in compatibility mode with Windows XP Service Pack 3. It couldn't hurt to see if that helps with your problem as well.

When the screen goes black, is it during a floor transition? Or is it during the menu, or loading a level? Or does it just occur in the middle of gameplay?

I will try compatibility mode. It seems to crash just in the middle of gameplay, but will pay closer attention next time.

No luck. It only happens in the middle of gameplay, not when switching levels. I let it sit in a level for an hour and it didnt crash, but 10-15 minutes of local coop and it crashes. Is ther a log or something I can send?

I've also had some random crashing, no clear times or places it happens though. the game will freeze up, then I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to scoot over to task manager and shut the game down. Immediately after I receive an error message saying my display adapater died and then recovered.

I don't have this issue with other games, some quite graphically demanding. I've tried most of the troubleshoots I usually do in such cases, but no luck so far!
I'm not sure if others are having this issue, but I figured I should let someone know!

The card I'm running is an AMD Radeon 6780, if that makes a difference!

this is a shot in the dark but you can set the graphics quality from High to Low and see if that helps for now

The game just stops working for me and crashes. I play a mission for a while and it crashes, then a dialog box comes up and says the game stopped working. Has happened many times.

Really sorry for the problems, I hope we can get a fix for you soon.

Thats okay, if our issues and info can make the game more stable in the long run, then I'm more than happy to help! You can never guarantee that it will work for everyone, everytime.. so no hard feelings! :)

Update for this.

I updated my video drivers, and set the video quality to low.

Not sure if it's one of those things, or the patch that came out, but the game is stable for me now. Was able to play about 3 hours straight last night. Thanks for the help!

I'm glad to hear you got it working lord_beef!

I've done the same with my drivers, its usually the first thing I check when I get graphics issues, but its done nothing for me unfortunately.
I'm thinking it might just be the card in general. I've been looking at getting a new one recently anyway!
